Ethnic Day: The Essence of IZee Business School

Ethnic Day at IZee Business School brought about a cultural aura. The event also reflected the values that IZee holds dear. Held on 27th September 2024, students and faculty members donned traditional attire and got together to celebrate the event of Ethnic Day. The Day aimed to bring out the conventional richness and the values that our traditions stand for, which align with the values the best MBA college in Bangalore stands for—integrity, respect, and honesty.

The Day started with all the people on campus wearing traditional dresses. The scene was mesmerising and blended beautifully with the day’s decoration. To uplift the fun of the day, multiple competitions were organised. The first was the Rangoli competition; the students got out of bounds. They made beautiful rangolis, also referred to as “pookalam” in the South, of subjects that represented the society. The campus looked well-decorated, with the rangolis on the campus grounds. The next activity allowed the students to show off their artistic expressions in under one minute. They were expected to draw and paint whatever they felt like. The students covered everything from modern to traditional art forms with this kind of freedom. This meant some sketched down heavenly Gods, and others decorated the canvas with animated characters. The teachers judged both of these competitions and decided on what “the best” was. The day also consisted of games like the water game: you win a prize when you put a coin in the glass. No celebration is complete without some eateries. Accordingly, the event concluded with the faculty and the students enjoying the divine taste of traditional cuisines from all over India.
Reflecting on the experience, students commented that they enjoyed the day’s experience, which adds to life in college. As the judges, the faculty discussed the judging criteria and remarked, “Such events make the students understand the real essence of the college.” Overall, the event was a one-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone at one of the top MBA colleges in Bangalore.
